Q: Does the UGC NET exam contain subjective questions? A: No, UGC NET exam does not contain any subjective questions. Both the papers consist of objective Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) only.

UGC NET & JRF are same exams. The only difference is that you need more marks for JRF as compared to NET. Top 6% of students who qualify NET exam gets JRF. NTA Conducts the UGC NET exam twice a year.

 The syllabus for both papers is different. The syllabus for paper 1 is common for everyone and based on the topics of teaching and reasoning ability, research aptitude, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness. The syllabus for paper 2 is based on the subject chosen by the candidate. It tests the candidate’s in-depth knowledge and expertise in the respective subject. NTA UGC NET is conducted for a total of 81 subjects.

As mentioned above, UGC NET is an online exam conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The exam contains two papers that candidates need to complete in a duration of three hours. Both paper-I and -II contain objective-type questions and it is mandatory for candidates to attempt questions from both the papers
